TOP 6 ARBONNE PICKS

Hello Beauties! Today on the blog is all about Arbonne, if you are unaware i have been a consultant for over a year for them and have recently rediscovered it. If you havent heard of Arbonne it is a vegan based company that allows consultants to sell the top quality skincare and cosmetics. Now just keep in mind this blog post is not biased at all, even though i am a consultant i will give you my honest opinion.

This is my top 6 picks for Arbonne, if you are approached by a consultant i want to give you my opinion on a couple of products that i think are worth it.

Eyeshadow
There are a decent amount of eye shadows in the Arbonne range but there are two in particular that i cannot stay away from. Suede and Chocolate; Suede is the perfect crease/transition shade! It is a warm tone camel colour, very similar to Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie! Chocolate is a dark brown shadow with gold flex in it, perfect for the outer v or the lower lash line. I even like to use it all over the lid and use suede to blend it out! Perfect smokey eye.

Blush
I own two blushes from Arbonne and the one that i have chosen is called Blossom; perfect dupe for Nars Orgasm! It is a beautiful peachy pink shade with gold flex in it, if you want a perfect blush, this one is it!

Bronzer
For the love of bronzer! This is hands down one of my favourite bronzers, it gives you the most beautiful summer glow and it is also a great transition shade in the crease or all over the lid for a bronzey eye!

Foundation
HOLY GRAIL. Is all i can say, it is such a beautiful foundation, it is a medium to full coverage foundation and it builds to a flawless finish. I find it is best applied with a damp sponge or some kind of kabuki brush. It is on the pricier side but it is well worth the price, and to top it off this foundation has no nasty chemicals in it, believe it or not this foundation is actually good for your skin! Crazy but true.

Powder
I have both the pressed powder and the most recently released loose powder. There are three types of powders in the Arbonne market, First the pressed powder i have to give a honorable mention to because it is a lovely powder; not cakey, and applies beautifully. However the pretty setting powder takes the cake for this post! I like to use the translucent shade, it looks quite pink based but it applies totally clear. It does however have a shimmer to it so it gives you a healthy glow!

2015 RESOLUTIONS | A HAPPIER YEAR!

Hello Beauties! So i thought i would take a different approach to my blog today and tell you guys my resolutions for 2015. When the new year comes around i find myself trying to figure out what i am wanting to improve in the upcoming year. This year i found that i wasn't really interested in goal setting as such but more interested in just self improving really.

Just a quick note before i get started on sharing my resolutions with you, this year like i said i am all about self improvement so these resolutions might seem a bit average or silly to some people. Just remember no goal or resolution is to big or to small, if you set them for yourself and you work hard, it will pay off.

RESOLUTIONS
1. Stop procrastinating - I am definitely guilty of this! This is something that i feel i need to work on for myself.

2. Take more photos - I also would love to print out photos and put them in a photo album. Flicking through photos are some of my most fondest memories! Taking photos at a family event or birthday will have everyone thanking you later for it!

3. Focus on my blog/youtube channel - This one is going to be a love hate relationship, i love doing youtube and blogging but i have taken it upon myself to become a full time blogger/vlogger. I have made a schedule for myself to keep myself on track!

Monday - Blog | Tuesday - Video | Wednesday - Blog | Thursday - Off Planning Day | Friday - Blog & Video | Saturday & Sunday - Off Planning Days | Fun time ahead!

*** I would love it if you guys could do me a favour and help plan out my week for both blog posts and videos all ideas will be at the end of this post! ***

4. Worry less - Self explanatory, stop worrying about the little things.

5. Strengthen existing relationships - I am very fortunate enough to have majority of my friends and family in Australia and only about 10-20 away from me. Unfortunately the excuss for everyone is 'im busy', 'to tired' seems to be the case. This year i have taken it upon myself to be the initiator and say "come over for coffee or breakfast" and so on. Just to make the most of this short life we live with the people that mean the most.. and take photos!

6. Go on more adventures - This is one i am looking forward to! It is a goal set not only for myself but for my partner aswell. It does not have to be a big adventure, although i am going on one in April, to the UK for a month; but it can simply be going for a bike ride and exploring.

7. Be more optimistic/have more fun -
Again, this is self explanatory that i think everyone should take part in. Being a little bit more optimistic could hurt anyone. Having fun is such an underrated privilege that i feel the need to take advantage of! Going on adventures and taking photos at the same time, i feel like this year is going to be a good one!

SKINCARE ROUTINE | THE BASICS

Hello Beauties! So todays post is all about my skincare favourites, which skincare is a subject that i do not usually talk about just because i find skincare to be a tedious job for me, personally for me i like to just have a basic skincare routine, nothing fancy just the basics and maybe a little something extra. Let just be clear on what i mean by the basics; i am the kind of person that like the kind of skin care routine that can possibly be done in the shower, because lets be real if i had to stand at a sink for 15 minutes cleaning my face.. i probably wouldnt do it! Also a quick mention, if you are in Australia you can pick all of these products up fro Priceline.

So usually on a good day when i can be fully bothered to remove my makeup properly with cleansing and such i usually start off with my cleanser. Now this cleanser is different to most are used to; it is a cleaning oil. Now the reason that i love using this is because it literally melts every bit of makeup off my face, even waterproof makeup. The Sanctuary Spa Cleansing Oil does the most amazing job at removing all sorts of makeup, let me tell you in october around halloween this product was god sent!!

Exfoliating really is not of my favourite things to do because my skin can be quite sensitive in certain areas, i discovered this next product a couple of months back when i was employed at Priceline. I had heard chatter about a new product being released and being a dupe for the Dermalogica Exfoliating Powder. It is made by Indeed Laboratories, its there exfoliating powder. This product is so unusual and so unlike any product i have used before, you sprinkle the product in you hand and add a dash of water and it creates this foamy consistency. It leaves your skin feeling so smooth after using it! It really is a unusual but wonderful product.

Once out of the shower and getting myself ready for bed i grab the most AMAZING product ever! And that is Bioderma Miscellar Water. Holy Moly, this product is holy grail worthy, it is the most amazing product ever, it is a dream for those lazy nights where you cannot be bothered taking your makeup off. It is a cleanser, toner and makeup remover in one! True genius product, it retails for around $35AUD and it is worth every cent!

After toning i grab my Indeed Laboratories hydraluron. It is a serum that has a gel consistency and is suppose to be used underneath your moisturizer. This product has truly dont wonders for my skin! It has kept it hydrated and healthy looking, this product is a dream to work with and i highly recommend it!

To finish off my skincare routine i pop on a absurd amount of night moisturizer, i have fallen in love with the Sukin Night Moisturizer. This is such a beautiful product to work with, it is thick but not to thick and it smells like heaven!

Now i know a lot of people like eye creams, and i have tried my fair share but i haven't found the right one, so if you have a favourite let me know!!

PANOTNE COLOUR OF THE YEAR - MARSALA | PRODUCTS & SWATCHES

Hello Beauties! Pantone has recently released the colour of the year, this year it is Marsala 18-1438. A colour described as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red”. According to my internet research it is described a purple tone red also, so in this case it seem to be a multitude of colours!

I have scrumiged around my own colours and it was surprisingly difficult to find the right tone of colour for this post! I found a couple of products with a colour tone similar or exact to Marsala, lets have a look shall we..

Here are my findings! I have a handful of products that have similarities in colour.

From left to right in the picture below.

NYX Love in Paris Eyeshadow Palette
The top row, far right shade. It has more of a cranberry feel to in and also swatches a little lighter then what i had hoped. However on the eye with a primer it applies a little bit darker and is somewhat close to the desired shade.

OFRA Lip Liner - Maya
This is a true marsala colour! I love this lip pencil, this brand seems to be quite foreign in Australia, considering that i recieved this in a American subscription service it may be a little difficult for us aussies to find, none the less it is a true marsala shade and i couldn;t not include it!

NYX Round Lipstick - Snow White
Again, this is a true marsala colour, i again love this shade! If you are not familiar with these lipsticks, you need to! They are very creamy, opaque and comfortable to wear on the lips.

Hikari Lipstick - Cabernet
This lipstick swatches a little more pink then i had hoped for, it the tube it looks alot more red. On the lips they look true to the tube colour, this again came from a lipmonthly subscription box, so it may be a little bit more difficult for us aussies to get a hold of.

NYX Ultra Pearl Mania - Penny Pearl
These little beauties truely are amazing, so affordable to! This colour may look a little off on the swatch because of its metallic finish, but when it is applied on the eyes it really is a beautiful marsala colour.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo - Pomegranate Punk
This is a great example of the more purple tone marsala, it is still a wine colour but a more purple wine. If you have never tried these maybelline colour tattoo, you must try them, you will be in for a serious treat!

BH Cosmetics Eyeshadow -  BHWM05
This little beauties retail for around a dollar each! This shade in the pan is a perfect marsala shade, swatched however, its lighter in colour on camera. When it is applied to the skin it actually seems darker then what it is the pan. The most affordable option there is and it is one of my favourites!

Thats it! Let me know in the comments what you guys think of the colour of the year, personally i am excited to see what people come up with. I know i certainly will be doing tutorials and looks with this look!

DECEMBER LIP MONTHLY | UNBOXING & REVIEW

Hello Beauties! Today on the blog is a very late to arrive lipmonthly unboxing. This bag arrived on my doorstep on the 5/01/15, keep in mind this is a American subscription box, but still it arrived in January so i am not 100% happy with that considering the payment is taken out at the start of each month. Speaking of costs it retails for $10USD and converts to $17.34AUD. Not bad considering you revieve between 4-5 items a month. I will link my previous lipmonthly post at the end so you can compare the products and see if you think it is worth the money.

This month we received 4 items all lip products which is exciting, retailing at $25.98, not the best value but still is above the value of the box. One of the perks for us Aussies is that when you subscribe to a American subscription you are receiving American brands that are not easy accessible to us, so although the value in my opinion is not the greatest i am thrilled to experiment with some brands that i have never heard of or tried.

Just a quick review on the products -

Magnolia Liquid Lipstick
This product has an unusual consistency, when i think of liquid lipstick i think of Lime Crime, Rimmel and a couple more brands. This product is not bad, but the pigmentation does not seem to be consistent. I find its a little patchy and does not dry to a matte finish, which doesn't bother me but i feel with a liquid lipstick that is runny and being a red, you really need it to be a matte finish otherwise you are going to up with a hot mess on your face! Certainly not worth $15.00.

Milani Lipgloss-
This gloss is actually really nice! I am very particular with my glosses, i particularly like the NYX Butter Glosses and the ELF Hypershine, you know something that has a little stick but not to much. This gloss is just like that, it has a nice amount of pigmentation and not to much stick and it seems to last a decent amount of time. I would love to try more of the colours!

LA Girl Lipliner-
I have always had pretty good luck with retractable lip liners, i find they do not dry out to fast on me and they usually have nice pigmentation, this one is a decent lip liner, nice colour and good pigmentation. There's really not a lot to say about a lip liner! I like it and i will use it!

NYC Lipstick -
I really am not a fan of this colour, i know it seems to be the 'in' colour right now, but on me it is so unflattering. For those who are fortunate enough to be able to pull it off, the consistency is really nice, unfortunately i dislike the colour!

What do you think? Do you think this box is worth it? I think it is just for the fact that you are trying products and brands you usually cannot get your hands on.

HOW TO STAY ORGANISED IN 2015 | 5 TIPS

Hello Beauties! So its a new year which means a new you! Now I'm not sure about you guys but i get really optimistic at the start of a new year because its a fresh start with new goals and ideas. This year i purchased a weekly planner to really plan out all of my blog and video ideas and put them into a schedule, planning is key in my books. I am going to share with you my tips on how to stay organised in 2015!

TIP #1
Like i mentioned in my intro, a planner is my number one tip! It is such a effective method to have all of your weekly plans laid right in front of you. I dont know about you but when you have a busy schedule - Youtube and blogging; your schedule is a little hectic if are fully committed, which this year i have taken it upon my crazy self to become a full time blogger and youtuber on top of a regular job! So this planner is a life saver, i know when to film and edit and upload and i also know when to prepare photos for my blog posts and when to post them.
TIP #2
List making is a very productive way to keeping your life organised. Did you know that it has been proven to help your self esteem if you are a list maker? Its true, when you make list of things you need to do in your day or month or even your year and you cross those things off its not only keeping you occupied but it is also helping your self esteem because your brain is recognising that you are accomplishing your goals that you have set for your self! I am a crazy list maker, i make likes everyday to remind myself of even just the little things i need to do i.e its my turn to make dinner, film Fridays video. Simple things like this really help me in my everyday life to accomplish everything i need to do. If you are new to list making, make it fun! Get a cute notepad and some metallic pens, stickers even! Make it fun and colourful!

TIP #3
Like i just mentioned in the last part of list making, make it colourful. My theory is, if its bright and colourful you are more likely to be drawn to it. Sure you can have a plain black and white notepad or planner, but majority of people are usually drawn to something bright and fun. So play it up a bit! Buy some sticky notes, stickers, highlighters, glitter pens. I promise you a pretty planner or notepad is a little slice of happiness and makes goal making and daily to do lists so much better!

 TIP #4
Now if list making and planners aren't your thing, maybe you would prefer something more visual, an inspiration board might be the trick.  I am in the process of making my inspiration board and already just gathering ideas and quotes are making my days a little less dreadful. Having a constant reminder of what you are working towards will keep you focused and organized.

 TIP #5
Tip no.05 is the most simple, i can definitely tell you this does works because i used to do it to stay organised. Set an alarm! Seriously, this is the most simple and effective method on staying organised. If there is something that needs to be done at a certain time, say its a bill that needs to be paid, set an alarm the day before to remind your self. Believe me, this simple method was one of the most effective! So set your alarm people!

I hope these little tips helped you a bit to staying organised! Have an amazing organised year!
